Arctic Cats from the Czech Republic help scientists in Antarctic

Czech scientists from Masaryk University in Brno recently successfully completed ninth scientific mission at the J. G. Mendel polar station on James Ross Island. For the first time Czech scientists decided to use motorized ATVs for transportation in Antarctica and for reaching otherwise inaccessible locations. "For very severe Antarctic conditions we have chosen a quality Arctic Cat ATVs and I can say, that these ATVs proved to be excellent! With their help we were able to reliably transport scientists and scientific equipment to distant places. Thanks to our ATVs we were also able to set and mark new designated ATV trail routes, routes which after discussing on the highest international level will become mandatory for all scientific Antarctic expeditions e.g. from the UK, Argentina, Brazil and other countries using ATVs for their work in Antartic," summarizes experience with Arctic Cat ATVs Pavel Kapler, chief of the Czech J. G. Mendel polar station.

Michal Kosík and LS2 Helmets

Michal Kosík – a Czech extreme biker whose life has completely changed 10 years ago. During a Freestyle exhibition he suffered a serious spine injury. Michal ended up in a wheelchair. However, Michal didn’t give up on his life and because he was still tempted to the downhill and freeride, he developed a completely unique terrain quad for disabled – a brutally sprung downhill machine which made him famous throughout the world.

Michal entrusts his safety  to a motocross helmet LS2 MX456 during his adrenaline spree and says  „I’m glad that I own this helmet. LS2 MX456 is amazingly light, comfortable and mainly  it’s a safe helmet. I can proclaim that quite responsibly, because with my wide-two track machine i have to cope with extreme biker downhill parks, it also quite often leads to a crash. And since I’m strapped in the seat of my downhill quad, which usually ends up rolling at the high speed, I use a neck brace made by Leatt which perfectly works with this LS2 helmet.“
